Well the problem still persists, it seems that I have a corrupt firmware or something.
#IOMEGA STORCENTER IX2 200 SOFTWARE SOFTWARE#
That should make the ix2 accessible again.[/īut the iomega's desktop software has and IP which is within my IP range and even from the cmd screen the IP pinges positively so how can it be on a different subnet. On windows, you can assign a second ip to your network adapter from the 172.16.net. The ix2 has a default ip of .X and your PC obviously has an ip from a different subnet, like 172.16.X.X. That means your ix2 and your PC are on different subnets. That should make the ix2 accessible again. When i try to re-add the device using the mentioned IP address, I receive a message that the required IP is inaccessible since it is located on a different subnet and it is not routable? Any suggestions Please note, that the desktop interface positively recognizes the iomega's IP, however I can not access it when I click on the shares button I receive a message that the iomega is not available. The documents I went through advised to keep pressing the reset button at the back of the device until the red lamp at front lights up, however nothing happens when I do so although the red lamp does light up, yet the security preferences are still the same and I still can not get access via any of my PC's or mac's.ĭo u have any ideas how can I re-access the network hard drive.

I checked online and one of the tips was to reset the device to be able to regain desktop access over the device. It really is quite sexy though.) It’s been a great little device so far. I’m a shallow human being, I bought it mainly because it wasn’t fugly like other NASes. A while ago I bought an Iomega ix2-200 NAS box. Well my device was working great until the last week, when I could no longer access it via the desktop software, no ip address access, absolutely no control over my iomega store center. Upgrading the disks in an Iomega StorCenter ix2-200 NAS. What are you trying to reset and how do you know it doesn't work?
